This compact design keeps more mass under the face of the anvil which makes it work and feel like a much larger, heavier anvil. The smaller footprint makes it a great choice for travel as well as a great shop anvil. Much attention is given to the 4 3/8" x 9" round horn to make sure that it is ground and finished symmetrically without ridges or flat spots. A great choice for farriers and blacksmiths.
